We now know that silver was used as a valuable and healing metal even in ancient times. For thousands of years, many civilizations have used silver as a healer and antibacterial metal. We can see the use of silver vessels, silver cutlery and mugs throughout history.

The Romans used small silver particles to treat burns, cuts and wounds. Only soldiers having silver water bottles were sent off to war because the Romans knew that silver kept water clean.
